Teacher Leader Design Fellowship (TLDF)

Developing the Teacher Leader Pipeline of the future!

The WLC Teacher Leadership Design Fellowship is a year-long leadership development and design lab journey for experienced educators in WLC schools. Teacher leaders from across our 9 WLC schools and 2 charter school partners were selected to spend the upcoming 2024-2025 school year engaging in meaningful professional development, experiential learning, and design lab experiences.

This year-long fellowship includes:

  • Coaching – Each WLC Teacher Leadership Design Fellow is assigned a coach to support each Teacher Leader’s growth as an exemplary classroom teacher and reflective practitioner.
  • Experiential Learning – The cohort will travel on “inspiration visits” and engage in workshop experiences exposing them to innovative schools beyond the local context. They will explore education models, including school visits within and outside of Wilmington and participate in professional learning conferences.
  • Teacher Leadership Model Design – Design Fellows will engage in an immersive professional learning work group to contribute to the design of a signature WLC teacher leadership model.
  • Professional Development Leads – Each WLC Teacher Leadership Design Fellow will be supported in bringing back learnings to fellow educators throughout the year.

Fellows receive an annual stipend for their work during this fellowship.
Applications are now closed, but check back in the spring for more information.
